Gothenburg 2 international shows Jan 3-6. 2008
We went to Sweden for a winter-show as there were 2 international shows in Gothenburg, and we got to rent a flat at the same apartment complex where Juha’s mother lives.
Thursday was the first show day where our only success was Roosa’s second place place with a honorary award. BOB puppy was Roosa’s sister Alice (Winterbourne Daybreak Bright Orange). The two sisters were very much alike both in the looks and how they behave.
On Sunday did our dogs much better. Nelli Nelli got an excellent rating and was second best bitch. As a result she got a reserv-CACIB.
Noora was entered in the veteran class for her second show ever, again just to be able to come with us to the show site. As it happened, she got an honorary award and was BOB veteran being the only one of our dogs to participate in the finals.
Roosa met two more of her sisters and her father on Sunday. Sisters Doris (Winterbourne Alpine Glow Apricot) and Siri (Winterbourne Purple Heart) beat her in the ring. Daddy Viggo (Xchange of Bloodline) got a jackpot, as he was BOB, got his last CAC for his Swedish championship and was awarded the title Swedish Winner 2008, not to forget the CACIB.
Essi got an excellent rating and was 3. best bitch. As the two bitches that beat her already were Swedish champions, Essi got the CAC and earned her Swedish championship at the same show as her brother Viggo whom she got to play with after posing. It was nice to see 5 black&tan Field Spaniels out of 10 entered.
The 12 hour ferry journeys between Finland and Sweden went well as our girls are used to travel. |
